Digital surveillance in EU Migration policies

With the adoption of the EU Pact on Migration and Asylum in 2024, the EU ushered in a deadly new era of digital surveillance, expanding the digital infrastructure for an EU border regime based on the criminalisation and punishment of migrants and racialised people.

In this area of work, Protect Not Surveil developed a platform called ‘Visualising surveillance in migration policies’ to support affected people, civil society and interested groups to unpack the different elements composing the EU migration surveillance policy infrastructure – and it offers a tool to resist it.
